You already know how to lead. But perhaps you’re tired of how much energy goes into wondering whether you’re doing it the right way.

Second-guessing what you said. Replaying feedback. Adjusting your tone. Reading the room. Working out when to push and when to soften. Carrying decisions long after you’ve made them.

She Leads From Within is a small-group leadership programme bringing together successful, ambitious women from different organisations, sectors and backgrounds who want to trust themselves more deeply, make clearer decisions and lead with greater freedom — without work taking quite so much out of them.

For women who lead — and still want more from their career and their life.

"I’ve watched highly capable women succeed — and I’ve also seen how often that success is accompanied

by an extraordinary amount of invisible internal work." - Amie Lee

"I reconnected with my judgement, and what I stand for….Seeing the fear and doubt for what it is - just noise - has been liberating" - Participant Testimony

Sometimes the things that take the most from us are the things nobody else can see.

I know I’m good at my job. So why am I still replaying that feedback?

Decisions become clearer and easier to make

Sometimes it isn’t the workload that’s exhausting.

Sometimes it isn’t the workload that’s exhausting.

It’s the work around the work.

It’s the work around the work.

It’s the work around the work.

The meeting before the meeting.

The conversation after the conversation.

The question underneath the decision.

The constant background calculation of how much to say, how strongly to say it, how you’ll be perceived when you do — and whether you should have done it differently afterwards.

It can become so normal that you barely notice you’re doing it. But your mind does. And your energy does.

The meeting ended an hour ago. It went well. You made your point. People listened. The decision moved forward.

And yet part of you is still in the room.

Was I too direct?

Did she think I was defensive?

Should I have let that go?

Everybody else seems to have moved on. You haven’t quite.

Imagine if the meeting could simply end when the meeting ends.

Imagine if the meeting could simply end when the meeting ends.

You’re given feedback about your “style”. Not that the work isn’t good. Not that the outcome wasn’t delivered. Your style.

Perhaps you need to be more visible. Warmer. More confident. Less forceful. More strategic. More collaborative.

You understand the words individually. It’s the combination that’s difficult.

So you start decoding. What exactly are they asking me to change?

And, perhaps more quietly: Which parts of me are acceptable here?

There’s another cost to all of this.

When so much of your attention is being used to monitor yourself, there is less available for the actual work of leadership

There’s another cost to all of this.

When so much of your attention is being used to monitor yourself, there is less available for the actual work of leadership

Less capacity to listen properly.
To notice what others are missing.
To think strategically.
To make the decision.
To challenge something that needs challenging.
To stay present in a difficult conversation rather than simultaneously managing how you are coming across.

What if becoming a more effective leader didn’t require you to try harder — but to carry less?

Less internal debate.
Less second-guessing.
Less energy spent managing perception.

And more attention available for judgement, creativity, connection, courage and action.

Leadership can become more effective while feeling less effortful.

You make decisions more cleanly. You recover more quickly. You listen with more attention. You respond to what is actually happening rather than what you fear might happen.

And you have more energy left — for the work that matters, and for the rest of your life.

Less stress. More capacity. Better leadership.

More of you available for everything else.

More of you available for everything else.

This isn’t simply a confidence problem.

This isn’t simply a confidence problem.

You haven’t somehow reached leadership without enough capability.

You haven’t somehow reached leadership without enough capability.

You haven’t somehow reached leadership without enough capability.

You’ve led. Delivered. Solved difficult problems. Built credibility.

And along the way, you may also have become exceptionally skilled at something else: Reading the room. Adjusting. Anticipating. Softening. Strengthening. Checking. Rechecking.

Working out what this particular person, room or culture requires from you.

And there are good reasons women learn to do this.

And there are good reasons women learn to do this.

Be confident — but not arrogant.

Be decisive — but not difficult.

Be visible — but not self-promoting.

Be warm — but never at the expense of authority.

Be confident — but not arrogant.

Be decisive — but not difficult.

Be visible — but not self-promoting.

Be warm — but never at the expense of authority.

What has years of navigating those expectations taught you to do to yourself?

What has years of navigating those expectations taught you to do to yourself?

What has years of navigating those expectations taught you to do to yourself?

At some point, adaptation can stop feeling like a choice. You begin monitoring yourself before anyone else has had the opportunity to. And that takes energy.

Energy you already feel you can’t spare.

Energy that could be going somewhere else — into your relationships, your rest, your health, your ideas, your family, your play, your life.

The exhaustion isn’t leadership. It’s the editing.

The exhaustion isn’t leadership. It’s the editing.

The exhaustion isn’t leadership. It’s the editing.

And once you can see the editing, you have more choice.

More choice about what you say.

How you lead.

Which feedback you use.

Which reactions you stop carrying.

When to adapt. And when to trust your own read.

You may not be able to remove every double bind from the room. But you can become far less governed by it.

WHAT CHANGES

What starts to change?

What starts to change?

What starts to change?

She Leads From Within works across three connected areas — because how you experience leadership and how effectively you lead are not separate things.

When less energy is spent second-guessing, calibrating and carrying work around with you, more becomes available for the leadership itself.

Clearer judgement. Better decisions. Greater presence. More range. And more energy for the life outside work.

01 / SELF-TRUST

Your judgement becomes the first thing you check. Not the last.

Your judgement becomes the first thing you check. Not the last.

Your judgement becomes the first thing you check. Not the last.

You can still listen. Still ask for feedback. Still change your mind. But somebody else’s reaction no longer automatically gets more authority than your own understanding. The internal conversation becomes quieter. Decisions can become simpler. A difficult interaction doesn’t need to occupy the rest of your afternoon. Feedback becomes something you can examine rather than something you automatically absorb. And there is less need to arrive at absolute certainty before you move.

You begin to spend less time asking “Am I getting this right?” and more time asking “What do I actually think?”

You begin to spend less time asking “Am I getting this right?” and more time asking “What do I actually think?”

That creates room for clearer decisions, faster recovery and better judgement when the answer isn’t obvious.

You spend less time seeking certainty and more time attending to what the situation actually needs from you.

Less mental noise. More leadership capacity. Greater self-trust.

LESS MENTAL NOISE. · CLEARER DECISIONS. · GREATER SELF-TRUST.

02 / LEADERSHIP IDENTITY & RANGE

More ways to lead. Less pressure to perform the “right” one.

More ways to lead. Less pressure to perform the “right” one.

More ways to lead. Less pressure to perform the “right” one.

The alternative to editing yourself isn’t behaving exactly the same way in every situation. Leadership requires range. There will be moments that call for warmth. Others for firmness. Challenge. Listening. Decisiveness. Compassion. Restraint. Visibility. The shift is knowing that you are choosing. Instead of asking: Which version of me will be safest here? there is more freedom to ask: What does this moment actually need from me? That’s range, not reinvention.

And that makes you a more responsive, adaptable leader — able to use warmth, challenge, decisiveness, compassion or restraint because the moment calls for it, not because one of them feels safer.

More freedom in how you lead, without feeling that success requires you to become somebody else.

MORE CHOICE. · MORE RANGE. · AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP

03 / SUSTAINABILITY

Stay ambitious. Stop giving work everything.

Stay ambitious. Stop giving work everything.

Stay ambitious. Stop giving work everything.

The aim isn’t to make your career less important. It’s to change how much of your mental and emotional bandwidth it is allowed to occupy. Less work continuing long after the laptop has closed. Less replaying. Less anticipating. Less carrying responsibility for everybody else’s response. And potentially: More rest. Better sleep. More presence. More creativity. More fun. More energy for relationships, family, interests and whatever else matters to you.

Work can matter enormously without becoming the whole of your life.

Work can matter enormously without becoming the whole of your life.

And when your attention is no longer consumed by managing yourself, you may begin noticing possibilities you couldn’t see before. A conversation. An opportunity. A decision. A different route. A bigger ambition.

When you see the world through a different lens, different choices become available. And different choices create different possibilities.

When you see the world through a different lens, different choices become available. And different choices create different possibilities.

MORE CAPACITY. · MORE POSSIBILITY. · MORE LIFE.

Less time inside your own head. More trust in your decisions. More freedom in how you lead. More energy for your work. More of you left for your life.

Less time inside your own head. More trust in your decisions. More freedom in how you lead. More energy for your work. More of you left for your life.

SHE LEADS / From Within

A different kind of leadership development.

A different kind of leadership development.

A different kind of leadership development.

Not another programme telling you to be more assertive. Not another checklist of behaviours successful women should learn. And not resilience training designed to help you tolerate more. She Leads From Within brings a small group of women together over three consecutive Fridays to explore what happens when you begin leading from a deeper trust in yourself rather than constantly looking outside yourself for confirmation. There is insight. There is evidence. There is coaching. But there is also conversation.

Reflection. Experimentation. And space to see something differently.

Over three weeks, you’ll experience:

Three 90-minute live group sessions — exploring Self-Trust, Leadership Identity & Range, and Sustainability.

Your private Leadership Recalibration — a 1:1 coaching conversation between Sessions 2 and 3, turning the group insight into something specific to your leadership and life.

A deliberately small, cross-organisational cohort — bringing perspectives from women whose worlds may look very different from yours, while discovering how much of the experience is shared.

Recordings and supporting material — so the learning continues between sessions and beyond the programme.

Sustainability & Integration

What is work currently taking — and what do you actually want it to give? We explore ambition, boundaries, responsibility, energy and the parts of life that can gradually become crowded out when leadership occupies too much mental and emotional space. This final session also brings the work together so that insight becomes something you can use beyond the programme.

MORE PERSPECTIVE. · MORE CAPACITY. · MORE OF YOU AVAILABLE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

And this doesn’t end with the group.

And this doesn’t end with the group.

Every woman also receives her own private: YOUR LEADERSHIP RECALIBRATION

An essential 1:1 coaching conversation designed to make the learning personal to your leadership, your decisions, your ambitions and your life. We will explore this in more detail further down the page.

Three Fridays. One private Recalibration. A different relationship with how you lead.

THE POWER OF THE GROUP

Different women. Different worlds. Remarkably familiar experiences.

Different women. Different worlds. Remarkably familiar experiences.

One of the most powerful parts of She Leads From Within is the women in the room. They may come from different organisations. Different sectors. Different professions. Different backgrounds, cultures and career histories. Their circumstances may look nothing alike.

And then somebody says: I still replay feedback for days.

Another woman nods.

Someone else says: “I thought that was just me.

…..And something shifts. Because despite all the things that make us different, we are often far more similar than we imagine.

Different woman. Different organisation. Different life. Same human experience.

Different woman. Different organisation. Different life. Same human experience.

This isn’t networking for networking’s sake. Hearing perspectives from outside your own organisational world can help you see your experience differently. You recognise patterns. You hear possibilities that might not exist inside the assumptions of your own workplace. You borrow perspective. And sometimes hearing another accomplished woman describe the thing you have quietly interpreted as your own failing is enough to loosen the story you have been carrying about yourself.

Sometimes “I thought that was just me” is where something starts to change.

Sometimes “I thought that was just me” is where something starts to change.

And then we make it personal.

Your Leadership Recalibration

Your Leadership Recalibration

Every woman taking part in She Leads From Within also receives a private 1:1 coaching conversation with Amie. It isn’t a bonus. It is an essential part of the programme.

The group creates insight. Your Leadership Recalibration asks what that insight means for you.

The group creates insight. Your Leadership Recalibration asks what that insight means for you.

Your leadership. Your circumstances. Your feedback. Your decisions. Your ambitions. Your life.

We might explore: The feedback you still can’t quite let go of. Where you habitually second-guess yourself. The places you notice yourself editing. A decision you have been circling. A boundary you know you need. What you want work to stop costing you. An ambition you haven’t fully acknowledged. An opportunity that looks different now.

What do I see now that I couldn’t see before? What do I want to do with that?

What do I see now that I couldn’t see before? What do I want to do with that?

There is no generic action plan. This conversation is about your leadership, your life and what you want to change from here.

The group helps you see differently. The Recalibration helps you turn that into something that is yours.

The group helps you see differently. The Recalibration helps you turn that into something that is yours.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

This may be for you if…

This may be for you if…

You already lead — people, projects, a function, a business area or significant organisational work.

You are successful by most external measures, yet privately question yourself more often than your experience would suggest you should.

Feedback can stay with you longer than you want it to.

You regularly notice yourself adjusting how direct, warm, visible, ambitious or authoritative you are depending on the room.

You work — or have worked — in environments where the dominant version of leadership doesn’t always feel like yours.

You are tired of how much of your thinking happens around work rather than simply within it.

You are still ambitious.

Very possibly more ambitious than you say aloud.

But you are increasingly unwilling to sacrifice the rest of your life in order to prove that ambition.

More trust in your decisions.
More freedom in how you lead.
More energy.
More possibility.
More of yourself available when the working day ends.

More trust in your decisions.
More freedom in how you lead.
More energy.
More possibility.
More of yourself available when the working day ends.

You do not need to be a board director. But you should already be leading — and willing to look honestly at how you currently lead, what it costs you and what you would like to feel different.

THIS PROBABLY ISN’T THE RIGHT PROGRAMME IF…

You are looking primarily for networking.

You want a passive webinar you can have playing in the background.

You want a qualification.

You want leadership hacks or generic confidence tips.

Or you want somebody else to prescribe the “right” way for a successful woman to lead.

She Leads From Within is much more interested in helping you hear your own answer.

ABOUT AMIE

Why I created She Leads From Within

Why I created She Leads From Within

I’ve spent more than two decades working around leadership, talent and organisational life.

I’ve watched highly capable women succeed — and I’ve also seen how often that success is accompanied by an extraordinary amount of invisible internal work.

The preparation nobody sees.
The feedback they carry.
The way they adapt.
The things they don’t say.
The amount they take responsibility for.
And the strange contradiction of becoming increasingly experienced while sometimes feeling less free.

My work now brings together deep coaching with extensive People & Culture leadership experience.

She Leads From Within grew from both.

It isn’t about pretending the systems women lead within don’t matter.

And it isn’t about suggesting the answer lies entirely outside ourselves.

It is about understanding both — and creating much more freedom in how we respond.

"It was great timing following a development review Id had. I was able to process the feedback as information - not a personal attack."

"I thought it was just hormones. Now, with less over thinking, I feel like I'm getting myself back... and I sleep like a baby!"

"One of the most powerful moments for me was realising how many women share the same experience of self-doubt and questioning themselves while balancing personal and professional responsibilities.

It was reassuring and empowering to see that these challenges are shared and discovering tools we can use to help us build confidence."

If you recognise yourself in what you’ve read, the next step is simply to look at the practical details and decide whether this November feels right.

Imagine trusting yourself enough to make the decision — and move on.

To hear feedback without losing yourself inside it.

To lead with all of your range rather than the version that feels safest.

To recognise an opportunity before you have time to talk yourself out of it.

To close the laptop and still have something left.

To sleep.
To play.
To be present.

To want more from your career without feeling that the rest of your life has to shrink to accommodate it.
